POLICIES

It is important that you carefully read over our guidelines set forth in our Policies and Procedures to assist you in understanding that we will attempt to ensure the safest possible environment for your pets while they are in our care. We want you to feel secure that we will provide your pets with the same loving care that they would receive in their own home environment. Your cooperation in providing us with full disclosure of your pet’s health history along with other habits and or expectations you may want us to abide by.

RESERVATIONS

As soon as you know your dates that that you will require pet care, that is the best time to contact us to book our services - best said: “the sooner the better”. At peak periods, we often get to capacity rather quickly hence; possibly not being able to assist you.

For new client reservations we require at least 2 weeks advance notice so we have time to do an official “Meet & Greet,” either in your home or ours, to be sure everyone will be compatible and comfortable with all services.

CANCELATIONS

In order to book your reservation, you will simply fill in our simple on-line form. Once that is received, one of us will call you to book an appointment to sign our Contract/On-line Form and take a 50% deposit to secure your booking. The balance will be due on the “start date”. Deposit will be forfeited if Contract is cancelled within 10 days of start date. No refunds once Contract has begun.

PAYMENT

As noted in Reservations, a 50% Deposit is due on signing Contract and the balance is due on the start date. Payment options are: E-transfer, cash or cheque. There is a $100.00 fee for NSF cheques. Additional fees incurred during visit (i.e. Vet Bills or any additional services requested) to be paid in full upon pick-up/drop-off.

There is an additional fee of $10.00 for statutory holidays.

HOURS OF OPERATION

- 7 days a week – extenuating circumstances - Check-out time: 11:00 a.m. on last day of Contract or an additional night is charged

Our daycare hours for drop off and pick up are as follows:

- Monday-Friday: 6:00 am – 8:00pm
- Saturday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm
- Sunday: 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

VACCINATIONS & PARASITES

All pets must be current on their Rabies, Distemper, Parvovirus, Parainfluenza, Hepatitis, and Bordatella vaccinations along with being free of Parasites. A copy of your pet’s up-to-date vaccination records must be supplied to Heavenly House Sitting & Pet Care prior to services being performed.

Please remember that your pet’s vaccinations do expire, and our records will need to be updated periodically. If at any time your pet is found to have fleas or ticks, we may provide appropriate flea or tick removal treatment at your additional expense, or we may terminate services until the problem is resolved so as not to transfer parasites to other pets.

SPAYING AND NEUTERING

We request that any pets over the age of 6 months should be spayed or neutered.

BEHAVIOUR/HEALTH/SAFETY

We reserve the right to refuse to care for any pets that are injured, sick, in pain, destructive, disruptive, have severe separation anxiety, females is heat, not properly socialized or have aggressive behaviour hence; possibly jeopardizing the health and safety of other pets or our staff.

Should your pet(s) require immediate veterinarian care, we will do our best to contact you but if unable to reach you or your emergency contact, we will transport your pet(s) to the veterinarian listed in your Contract. If your veterinarian is not available we will go to the closest veterinarian clinic. You will be responsible for any and all veterinarian fees incurred for your pets’ treatment(s).

Your pet(s) must be in good health. i.e. No coughing, sneezing, vomiting or diarrhea at least 48 hours prior to start date of Contract. If your pets are displaying any of these symptoms while they are in our care, you may be asked to pick them up or have someone else pick them up.

If any of your pets have been treated for a contagious illness, we cannot accept your pets for at least 2 weeks after veterinarian treatment has been completed.

We will accept pets that require routine medications and/or injections (additional fee will be charged), but we are not equipped to care for acutely sick pets.

- No pregnant dogs
- No females in heat
- Pet owners are responsible for any damage their pet may do cause in Sitter’s home.
- Bring treats that “your pet(s)” can have in case of allergies.
- Bring their specific food
- Do not bring leash, blankets, toys or beds as they may be destroyed by other pets
- If it is cold and your pet is frail please supply sweater or jacket.
